Ice-T and Coco Welcome Daughter Chanel

Ice Ice Baby! The wondrous little offspring of Ice-T and Coco Austin has arrived.

The Ice & Coco co-hosts announced their daughter Chanel’s arrival on Twitter Saturday. (They did not specify her actual birth date.) “Surprise!!! Look who came early!!” wrote Coco. “Welcome the new arrival of Chanel Nicole.. A beautiful healthy 5.7 pound baby girl.”

Ice-T also took to Twitter to celebrate.

Chanel, whose name they announced in advance of her arrival, is the first child for Ice, 57, and Coco, 36. The Law & Order: SVU actor has two adult children, a daughter Letesha and son Tracy, from previous relationships.

The demure couple is already well rehearsed when it comes to parenting though. They have two canine babies, Spartacus and Maximus, that go everywhere with them, including their baby shower last month.

Ice-T married the delightfully over-the-top swimsuit model in 2001. They announced the pregnancy in July on the set of their talk show. The next month they revealed the gender and baby’s name.

Coco, who had a small baby bump, embraced the wondrous time of pregnancy, telling People magazine, “You never think it could really happen to you — that you can actually make a human being — and when you do, you’re like, ‘Wow!’ Your body takes over and does it itself. You’re not putting the hands and feet together – your body’s cooking it and it’s amazing. It’s a miracle how life can happen.”

Despite the miraculousness of it all, she also said that they’ll stop at one child because their family is “big enough.”

“I’m working on this one child, but I’ve always planned on having one. I have enough boys in the house that I consider all of them my babies,” she said, referring to Ice and their dogs.
