Dead or Alive 5 director: We definitely want to make more Dead or Alive titles in the future, fan feedback can speed up the process Games Beat recently sat down with Dead or Alive 5 director, Yohei Shimbori, for an interview. Shimbori touches on several topics including how Team Ninja goes about balancing their games, tips for players new to the Dead or Alive franchise and more.

The Dead or Alive 5 director goes on to state that they hope to make another Dead or Alive title in a shorter time span than it took between Dead or Alive 4 and 5. He mentions that if there is a ton of fan demand it may help speed up the process.
Going forward, is Team Ninja hoping to put out future sequels of Dead or Alive on a more regular schedule and avoid another multi-year stretch?

Yeah, we definitely want to make more in the future. But I’m sure there are other things that we need to make before the next one comes out. I don’t think it’s going to be an immediate release of anything right now. But again, if there’s a ton of feedback from fans that want something else, then I’m sure we can step up the process a little more.
