  • This is an Excepted Service Appointment. Initial appointments to the Peace Corps normally are for 60 months (5 years). Employees are paid on the Foreign Service pay scale and receive the same benefits as other Federal employees. A background security investigation will be required for all hires. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.

Duties:

  • This position is located in the Office of Diversity Recruitment and National Outreach (ODNO) in the Office of Volunteer Recruitment and Selection (VRS). The ODNO is responsible for supporting strategic recruitment initiatives (e.g. diversity recruitment), planning events and activities, providing recruitment analysis, building organizational relationships and other national outreach activities. The incumbent represents diversity recruitment field interests and undertakes projects designed to assist Regional Offices in meeting established diversity recruitment objectives and works closely with Regional Offices to identify diversity and inclusion best practices.

    Administers the organization's training budget; develops guidelines, procedures, and program goals and performance standards.
  • Consults with utilizing services and programs, PC representatives and community officials to publicize the development and improvement of the program.
  • Develops, coordinates with, and maintains relationships with stakeholders in various levels of government, private industry, and/or academic institutions to communicate and disseminate information about program mission and activities.
  • Plans, coordinates, and monitors diversity recruitment campaigns and prepares written reports highlighting relevant campaign plans, activities, and results.
