Record DFB Cup winners Bayern have been handed a tough but enticing draw in the semi-finals of this season’s competition, as the Reds will play at home to old foes Werder Bremen in their quest to make the final in Berlin and seal an 18th domestic knockout cup triumph.
The draw for the last four was made on national TV directly after Munich’s 3-0 quarter-final victory away to VfL Bochum on Wednesday evening.
The semi-finals will be played on 19 and 20 April, with the final at Berlin Olympic Stadium on Saturday 21 May.
