Fox has ordered a script for a father-son workplace comedy set in Las Vegas in the 1970s, Variety has learned.

The project hails from writer Elizabeth Beckwith and “The Blacklist’s” John Davis and John Fox, who will all serve as exec producers, along with Willie Mercer and Chris Henze. Sony Pictures TV, Davis Entertainment and Thruline Entertainment will produce the half-hour laffer.

The single-camera comedy would mark the first major producing gig for writer-actress Beckwith (pictured below). The Las Vegas native’s acting credits include “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Coyote Ugly” and the 2010 short “Gleeclipse,” in which she starred, plus wrote, directed and produced.

This is not the first Sin City-set TV project for Davis and Fox, who are exec producers on NBC’s fall action-drama “The Player,” which also takes place in Vegas. Also up this fall, the “Blacklist” duo will serve as exec producers on Ken Jeong’s comedy vehicle “Dr. Ken” on ABC.

Mercer and Henze are exec producing the upcoming Peter Gallagher flick “DeTour.”
