Solangi also performs necropsies on dead dolphins found in the Gulf of Mexico after the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. To date we have not seen one necropsy as it is a moot point with him.

The year is 2005, August 29th, everyone knew in advance that a category 5 hurricane was bearing down on the Gulf states. There was plenty of time to evacuate the animals from this disaster. No one has investigated investigated Solangi's background or his track record. Solangi has captured more than a hundred dolphins in US waters, particularly in Mississippi Sound. These victim dolphins have been sentenced to a miserable life in sea circuses, amusement parks, the US navy and other captive dolphin facilities. Stories with affidavit of the horrific captures by Solangy and his men.

There was plenty of time to evacuate the animals, yet many stayed behind.  Many animals were evacuated from the oceanarium (Marine Life owned by no other than Moby Solangi) before the hurricane, though the dolphins and a number of sea lions remained.

Why were these helpless animals abandoned by Solangi in the first place?

 ..."six dolphins and eight sea lions that had been evacuated prior to Katrina, along with the sea lions that had been recovered on the first day of animal rescues, were loaded onto trucks and relocated to facilities in Florida including Florida’s Gulfarium and Sea World Orlando. On Wednesday, the team located two sea lions that were very badly injured and had to be humanely  euthanized. Thursday, the third day after the hurricane, three more sea lions were located and rescued. The following day , Friday, two sea lions were found deceased and two other sea lions were rescued.  A second truck, housing the rescued  sea lions,  left Gulfport to relocate the animals to Florida for rehabilitation.."

Why did Moby Solangi wait until the day before the storm to take action for the animals? Marine Life had survived many storms in the past. It was not going to survive this storm the old buildings did not survive and Solangi should have been better prepared.

This man does not deserve a permit to keep more sea lions. He is an animal abuser. We hereby urge NMFS and the NOAA officials to deny Solangi a permit.
