Fatal traffic crash, Daintree

A man has died in a single vehicle traffic incident at Daintree this morning.

Initial information suggests that the car drove off a ferry on the Daintree River into the river around 12.20am.

The car was recovered from the water at about 2am.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
