A Kidville franchise has opened in a 4,000-square-foot space in the Willow Wood Shopping Center in Wantagh.

It is the third Kidville location on Long Island, following others in Roslyn and Commack. A fourth Long Island Kidville is planned for Garden City.

The new Kidville at 1183 Wantagh Avenue offers classes, programs and birthday party options for infants through children six years old, and is owned by franchisee Alexis Fritz.

All-in costs of opening a Kidville franchise ranges from $288,905 to $441,900 for the two-classroom model and from $599,710 to $897,400 for a five to six-classroom location, according to the Kidville website. The company has 35 locations in nine states, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada.

A former real estate executive, Fritz now describes herself as a “momtrepreneur,” changing careers after the birth of her daughter.

“As both an entrepreneur and active mom, I have a strong desire to educate my child while giving her the love and support she needs to grow,” Fritz said in a written statement. “My husband Tom and I want to extend this passion to provide other children with the skills they need to explore their interests and express their creativity in a safe environment.”
