Salesman crashes £140,000 Aston Martin on test drive with customer

After crashing a V12 Vantage S, the car dealership salesman apologised to Ben Simpson, who was uninjured in the crash, telling him: 'When we next go for a spin... you're driving!'

 A CAR lover’s purchase of a flash £140,000 Aston Martin stalled after a salesman crashed it during a test drive.

Property developer Ben Simpson, 35, wanted a new car after a relative bought a £160,000 DB9 GT days earlier.

But the dealership’s salesman crashed the V12 Vantage S into a fence and later sent a jokey apology, saying: “When we next go for a spin, you’re driving!”

Ben, from Reading, said: “The car was written off.”

A dealership spokesman said the driver was not to blame.
