Stealing charges, Toowoomba

Police have charged a 33-year-old man with stealing offences after investigations into the alleged theft of postal items in the Toowoomba area.

Officers executed a search warrant at a Highfields residence today where they seized a number of parcels and letters dated from November 2011 to 2013 inclusive.

A 33-year-old Highfields man has been charged with one count each of theft of postal articles and obstructing carriage of postal articles.

He is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on July 8.
