Attempted armed robbery, Acacia Ridge

 

Police are looking for a man following an attempted armed robbery at a take away food store in Acacia Ridge this morning.

At 9.45am, a man entered the Oxley Street business, threatened the female owner with a handgun, believed to be a replica, before demanding money.

The man left the premises on foot empty-handed after a male attendant activated an alarm.

The man was last seen running down Agnes Street in a westerly direction.

No one was physically injured.

The man is described as being 180cm tall with a proportionate build, and was wearing a black balaclava, black pants, black jumper and black shoes.

Investigations are continuing.
