Actor John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse, is one of the people championing for the show to return. And as TVGuide points out, Stamos has an ownership stake in the show, so he has good cause to push for a revival. Meanwhile, original EP Bob Boyett and creator Jeff Franklin (who's writing the new version) are "actively involved."
Also, it's being said that former Full Housers Candace Cameron Bure (D.J.), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy) are on board. Bob Saget (Danny) and Dave Coulier (Joey) are "involved in some way."
It's possible that some of the renewed interest in a Full House update stems from the revival of ABC's Boy Meets World - now Girl Meets World - on Disney.
