This is the shocking moment airline baggage handlers left an airline 'appalled' as threw holidaymakers' luggage from an aircraft.

Alan Hodge was waiting to fly to France on holiday with his family when he saw the staff moving luggage from an aircraft by tossing it into the air.

The fuming 37-year-old filmed from the departure lounge as he watched three members of staff at Gatwick Airport hurl the cases on top of one another.

Alan, a bus driver, who had been flying with EasyJet to La Rochelle from Gatwick Airport earlier this month, said the airline should strongly consider retraining or sacking their staff.

He said: "The first thing they took out was a buggy which was launched across the whole platform and it landed pretty hard, there would have almost definitely been damage to it.

"My whole family were there and we were in shock we were thinking that it could be our cases. They were throwing them into the air and kicking them.

"Some of the cases were launched from end to the other, I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"I would have liked to scream and shout at them and tell them to behave, if I saw someone doing that on my bus I would certainly not keep quiet.

"But they were looking around to see if anyone was watching them, they knew that they shouldn't be doing it."

Alan, from New Addington, south London, uploaded his video onto YouTube to highlight the shocking act of baggage neglect.

He added: "They were kicking the bags and cases and launching them into the air with no care at all."

EasyJet claim they are investigating the incident and have tried to reassure passengers that they are taking the incident very seriously.

A spokesperson for the budget airline said: "EasyJet are appalled to see this footage.

"We would like to assure our passengers that this is absolutely not the standard of baggage handling we expect from our suppliers and we will investigate this incident thoroughly."
