January Sale:
Adult, Teen, and Children's Fiction

We all enjoy the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season, but once New Year's Day is past, we crave a slower pace. The shorter, colder January days are just the time to snuggle up with a hot beverage and a good book. Indulge your taste for fiction and pick up some new titles to read during these leisure hours.

Our Specialty Sale of all adult fiction, children's, and teen fiction begins on January 3 and continues through January 26.   Adult fiction includes general fiction, classics, mysteries, science fiction and romance (remember, Valentine's Day is February 14!). Buy them at reduced prices: 50¢ for hardcover, 25¢ for oversize paperbacks, and 10¢ for regular paperbacks.

As many of you know, we have more than 20,000 books on the shelves, in a wide variety of categories: music, cookbooks, fine arts and history, to name just a few. The price for these regular books is $2 or less per item. DVDs and audiobooks are also available as well as a selection of special books that are individually priced.

Friends' volunteers replenish the book shelves continually from the large inventory of presorted quality books that are donated by the community and housed in the Friends' warehouse, so the shelves are always full.

The Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District is an all-volunteer organization that supports the Library District's programs and services.
