Robbery charges, Brisbane

A man and two women have been charged following a robbery that occurred in Brisbane yesterday afternoon.

Around 3.20pm, a woman was outside a hotel on Roma Street when police will allege three people have attempted to take her handbag.

A struggle occurred, and police will further allege that the group have then taken a pair of sunglasses and a phone from the bag.

A man and two women were taken into custody a short time later.

The woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

A 26-year old Geebung man, a 29-year-old Blackwater woman and a 17-year-old woman of no fixed abode have all been charged with one count each of robbery in company using violence and are all due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates court on September 22.
