A 60-year-old man has passed away as a result of the injuries he sustained in a traffic crash this morning in Mackay.
Police will continue to investigate the crash that occurred at the intersection of Gordon Street and McAlister streets at around 11.40am.
Investigations to-date indicate that a man in a motorised wheelchair was turning left onto Gordon Street when he was struck by a truck.
He was transported to the Mackay Base Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at around 3pm.
The Forensic Crash Unit will continue to investigate. There is no further information available at this time.
