Suspicious school fire, Cranbrook

Police are investigating a fire that occurred at an educational facility on Alice Street, Cranbrook last night.

It will be alleged that around 11.30pm, unknown offenders have gained entry to the school grounds and set alight the rubber matting around the metal pole of the roof over the children’s playground area.

Emergency Services attended and extinguished the blaze. Investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing.

Police are seeking assistance from members of the public who may have seen any suspicious activity in the vicinity to contact crime stoppers or your local police.
