Mahwah, NJ: The 2013-2014 New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Academic Teams were announced today by commissioner Terry Small. 74 Ramapo College student-athletes were recognized. To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior who has competed in a conference-sponsored sport while achieving a minimum grade point average of 3.20. First and second-team selections were made by each of the league's 10 full-member institutions.
Sophomore women's swimmer, Megan Fosko and senior men's swimmer Maciej Maj were named to the NJAC First Team All-Academic Squad. Fosko is majoring in Physical Therapy and holds a 3.94 GPA. Maj earned his degree in Business Administration and finished with a 3.94 GPA.
Junior swimmer Derek Schlieman and sophomore women's lacrosse player Lauren Schmidt were named to the NJAC Second Team All-Academic Squad. Schlieman is majoring in Music Production with a 3.84 GPA while Schmidt is a Biology major with a 3.94 GPA.
