Your PSYCHIC ABILITY and Your SUN SIGN

I've been asking myself for a few days now how to combine two of my favorite life themes into this weekly newsletter.

Here’s the first installment.

Yet, there’s one disclaimer which I must offer before proceeding.

What I’m offering may throw this whole theory out the window in into the field of inaccuracy, so I must first ask that you consider this: your Sun sign isn't as clear-cut and pure as many of those authors of zodiac sign meanings would have you believe.

Each person’s Sun sign carries a certain quality of energy that’s highly individualized and is naturally is based on that individual's particular birth data. And if you've ever read those monthly zodiac predictors or daily horoscopes that sound nothing at all like you or your life, then you need no further convincing, right?

But Why? Because the Sun in your birth chart can be located next to or in the middle of numerous other planets that color its quality—that’s one of many reasons.

Or your Sun sign can be at an early or late degree (each sign has 0 to 30°) and therefore it can take on attributes of the sign before or after it (blending of energy). That's the case if your Sun is close to the cusp, meaning a few degrees after 0 or a few before 30; therefore, you could be a blend of both signs or one sign that's stronger than the other. Confusing, right? Well, not really once you study a little bit of astrology and it's worth the effort to know more. But back to our topic...

There are various other factors that influence how your own Sun may feel and express in your psyche. Therefore, if the list below feels a little ‘off’ in any way, that’s why. However, don't let that put a damper on the subject of astrology for you. Its worth the effort to understand. But if some people's Sun's are not pure and the information isn't then why make the list in the first place?

For the same reason that people write those weekly or monthly zodiac predictors I suppose—there is a certain value to it despite its susceptibility to being a bit off due to the 'one-size-fits-all improbability. In my opinion, astrology is a gift from the universe. It's....well, wait a second. These folks say it better than I could.

Now that I've given a disclaimer and done a little commercial ad for the study of astrology, lets continue.

These insights about the psychic and intuitive nature of each Sun sign listed below are not intended to be all-inclusive. As a matter of fact, I just let my own intuition guide the words I wrote them sitting at the keyboard, reflecting a moment on each Sun sign.

The information below is offered with a good heart and with the intention of offering a little sampling. I hope it's found helpful and worthy by the reader.

ARIES SUN – Psychic Development relates to your passions and when you follow your tendency to initiate something new because there’s a feeling of having a “special mission” that comes with it, you are most likely being guided by your intuition. Instinctive desires and instinctive reactions are in harmony with your intuition and psychic prowess.   Your intuitive nature is associated with taking action and making movement. You may find that psychic impressions come to you when you are exercising in some way or moving the body somehow.
(March 21 to April 20)

TAURUS SUN -- Psychic Development is dependent upon how well you inwardly relate to your (higher) Self and how well your feelings of security are at any given time. Your intuitive nature will improve with meditation and contemplation. You may find that being out in nature or when you are in a pleasant mood that you are most receptive to your intuitive guidance.
(April 21 to May 20)

GEMINI SUN – You are most psychic when you can meander through what you feel drawn to around you; be that information or objects. Your hands are sensitive and holding objects in the hands is one way for you to discern psychic information. You are most psychic when you are allowing yourself to just speak information without too much forethought finding you can say the right thing at the right time in that way. Your greatest challenge is knowing when to speak and when to listen.
(May 21 to June 21)

CANCER SUN – Your psychic development and intuition are connected to your feelings and your natural ability to be empathic. Naturally, your own emotions can interfere with your psychic perceptions and you are most intuitive when you are emotionally balanced. You are influenced by the sign and the phase of the Moon and would be good for you to study these and work in harmony with the Moon's energy.
(June 22 to July 22)

LEO SUN – Creativity is linked with your psychic talent and you are most intuitive when involved in some type of self-expressive and/or creative task. What can block your psychic perceptions is any type of egocentricity. When you are in the mindset of giving without expectation of a return for the self, you are in the flow of higher energy and the more light and playful you can be, the more you can trust your intuitive and psychic impressions.
(July 23 to August 22/23)

VIRGO SUN – Maintain your desire to be of selfless service to others which is very natural for you and you can’t miss with your psychic impression accuracy. Don’t try to be perfect in your psychic work, just try to be helpful and it will all work out. The highest expression of Virgo energy is self-love which expresses as psychic healing. That last sentence is an important one for you to consider.
(August 23/24 to September 22/23)

LIBRA SUN – The quality of voice is an indication of the type of energy being channeled at any given time by the Libran psychic. Intuitive impressions about other people’s motives are usually accurate. Balance is a key quality for the Libran Sun sign individual. And knowing how to maintain and/or restore balance quickly is beneficial to doing psychic work. Surroundings that are harmonious and an environment that is desirable as well as considered ‘pretty’ or beautiful are important factors aiding in the intuitive process or in psychic work generally.
(September 23/24 to October 22/23)

SCORPIO SUN – If your desire is to help others feel their personal power, then this will most naturally be likely to trigger your psychic and intuitive powers. Psychological complexes in others will draw you in but be aware that you don’t get caught in playing god in other people’s lives since controlling others for the purpose of achieving inner security is your pitfall. You are most intuitive when withdrawn into the world of spirit and the shaman.
(October 23/24 to November 22)

SAGITTARIUS SUN – Optimism is natural for you and strengthens your psychic nature and you are most psychic and intuitive when you are in harmony with natural laws and principles. Guru/teacher is part of your M.O. (Modus Operandi – natural way of being) and connects you to your intuitive and psychic nature in very creative ways. Channeling universal truths and laws would be part of your psychic expression.
(November 23 to December 21- 23)

CAPRICORN SUN – Any psychic or intuitive interests that you have may involve ‘becoming’ in the outer world in some way. Well, in a way that is practical, earthy, and grounded. You would not be as likely to channel some illusive far out space brothers (as other zodiac signs might) since your interest in intuitive matters would most likely need to be linked to some earthy, practical purpose in the world. And you would maintain healthy boundaries with psychic work—a time and a place for everything.   Your intuition would be used with career goals and in your work whatever that work may be.
(December 22-24 to January 20)

AQUARIUS SUN -- The group of one, Aquarius, could very well receive sparks or intuitive flashes as part of their psychic repertoire. These individuals may also be in touch with past life memories within their own psyche and when working with others, doing readings, receive impressions of past lives. The Aquarius Sun individual, in seeking how to individuate and find freedom, can spark the intuition. This can happen as well when finding one’s soul-family (so-to-speak) or looking for and finding like-minded friends or small groups to connect with such as a psychic group of some type. The soul with an Aquarius Sun will likely maintain some semblance of separation even within the group. Humanitarian efforts or desires can spark the intuitive nature to assist with those types of endeavors.
(January 21 to February 19)

PISCES SUN – The element of water is important in connection with intuition and psychic development for those with a Pisces Sun. Imagination and visualization may be important in the intuitive process as well. Compassion for others triggers the intuitive nature.   Here we could also find the type of psychic who channels the far out space brothers (mentioned earlier under Capricorn).   States of feeling innocence and openness trigger the intuition and psychic ability for those with a Pisces Sun Sign.
