The Cheshire Challenge:
Make Justin Suit Up as a Superhero at the Cheshire-Milgate Classic!
We're throwing down the Superhero gauntlet for this year's Cheshire-Milgate Golf Classic!

Help us get 100 players and sponsors by June 1, and Justin will suit up to play golf in a Superhero costume!

"Egads, and holy hole-in-one," you're exclaiming. "Can this be for real??!!!"

Indeed it is. Cape flying, boots flashing and wielding a mighty (golf) club, Justin will be leaping deep bunkers in a single bound if you help us make our numbers!

But we can't do it without YOU, because YOU are the superheroes behind the scene!

You can help us help the children who benefit from the Kirch Center at the Golisano Children's Hospital by registering today!

So, persuade your co-workers, families and friends to join you! Register a foursome! Sign up to donate an item for our auction! Talk yourself or your boss into becoming a SuperSponsor! (By the way, If you have an idea of how sponsorship can benefit your company and you don't see it here, call Justin to discuss your thoughts).

But do it NOW! Sign up this week for the Cheshire-Milgate Golf Classic taking place on Monday, July 28 at the Deerfield Country Club in Brockport, NY for a Marvel-ous time and for a chance to see Justin "fly" around the course on a golf cart in  Superhero garb!

Join Us for a "Groovy" Stroll for Strong Kids
Golisano Children's Hospital's icon Sandy is all decked out in tie dye commemorating the groovy era of the 1960's, because the theme of this year's Stroll for Strong Kids is Peace, Love and Healing!

Please join us at Genesee Valley Park on Saturday, May 31 for the annual walk and 5K run that does so much to support Golisano Children's Hospital.  Last year, 5,500 participants raised a record-breaking $415,000.

The run starts at 8:30 AM, followed by the walk at 10:30 AM. The whole family will enjoy the festivities that continue until 1 PM, and that feature bounce houses, carnival games, photo booths, dunk tanks, and much more!

For pledge or roster form, walk or run routes, a parking map or a map of the park, click here.

We hope to see you there for some outta sight fun and an event that supports a vital community resource.

The AV-ator full
We're calling this the Superhero issue, and if you're wondering why, be sure to read the article at left to find out how you can inspire Justin to suit up as a Superhero for a "flight" around the golf course.

You'll also want to read how our partner DeBergerac Productions helped pour on publicity and get new fans for client Frank's RedHot.

And if you're responsible for your company's meetings, be sure to check out the last two articles in this column for some great tips and tools.
A Snow Sculpture Pours on Publicity for Frank's RedHot Sauce
The Szabo family's award-winning sculpture

When Cheshire partner, DeBergerac Productions, got wind of an amazing snow sculpture featuring Frank's RedHot Sauce, they got in touch with the Szabo family who created the award-winning work of art. They then shared news of the creation with Reckitt Benckiser, Cheshire's client that is the parent company of Frank's RedHot Sauce.

The sculpture, that shows a bottle of Frank's RedHot pouring sauce over a chicken wing, was created by Stephanie and Hailey Szabo along with Dad Lon, as an entry in the 2014 Winterfest taking place in Arcade, NY.
How one town became "Red Hot" Fans

Not only did the sculpture make it to the front page of the Arcade Herald, the photo went viral, raising awareness worldwide of both the community of Arcade and Frank's RedHot Sauce.

Mike Champlin of DeBergerac Productions said the company was so happy that they sent the Szabo family a big package with "goodies" enough to share with family and friends. You can bet Frank's has acquired some new and loyal "RedHot Fans" in Arcade, NY!
Enough Red Hot goodies to share!

When we and our partners work with clients, we may not always be able to arrange for an award-winning snow sculpture, but
you can be sure we always deliver value that goes far beyond the bottom line. Our mission is to provide great customer service, build long-lasting relationships and make sure you have the best show ever. While some call it extraordinary, we simply call it "the Cheshire Advantage."
25 Things Every Meeting Planner Should Know: Getting Savvy About Audio Visual Technologies

We love it when we discover a great resource that we can share with our clients!

The InfoComm convention is one event the Cheshire team attends regularly, so we were happy when we found an invaluable document InfoComm is making available for us to share with you. Check out and download your copy of:

The article covers critical topics such as "What to Know and Do Ahead of Time," "Selecting the Venue" and "What Else Goes into AV Time and Costs."

We guarantee you'll find helpful information in this piece that will save you time, money and/or headaches!

Meet Carol White Llewellyn, Marketing Maven Who Makes the AV-ator Fly

Carol White Llewellyn is a native of the Finger Lakes region and, after attending St. John Fisher and the Sorbonne in Paris, she moved to NYC.

Much of her 20+ years in the Big Apple was spent at the The Advertising Research Foundation, where she acquired a breadth of skills, from meeting planning and marketing to management, and that took her up the ladder to being the only female SVP, and managing three departments.

For a lifestyle change, to be more available for her family, and to eliminate the three-hour commute, she and her husband moved back to Rochester with their twin daughters.

In addition to making the AV-ator fly, Carol has a number of other clients for whom she does copywriting, press releases and writes and produces other digital communications. At RCTV, where she works as part-time Marketing Director, she also draws on her wealth of experience in the arts to host and produce the cable show Conversations with Creatives, The program can be seen on RCTV (Time Warner channel 15 or 98.5 in Rochester), and will soon be available on other public access channels, and online.

"I love working with everyone at Cheshire," she shares. "In addition to being terrific people, their client and quality-centric approach means their customer service can't be beat."

She adds, "I also appreciate how generous they are in giving back to the community. You can tell a lot about people who make philanthropy a priority."

Stream Your Way to More "Virtual" Attendance at Meetings and Conferences

We often get questions about the viability of using live video streaming as an option for conferences.

The economy of the past five years has eaten away at travel budgets, and video streaming can be a successful way to share content, information and ideas with those who would like to attend an event, but can't justify the travel expenses. Video streaming offers "virtual" attendance.

We've recently been working with a company called UStream that has built a reputation for uses ranging from product launches and sales meetings to concerts and conferences. There are different levels of service available, and depending on the duration of your meeting and whether your objectives require the use of high- or low-end video cameras, UStream can be quite effective.

If you think your company's meeting would benefit from video streaming, call or email Justin for more details.

So now the gauntlet's been thrown! If you want to see me play golf in a cape and tights, get your registration or sponsorship in by June 1st!
I double-dog dare you!

In the meantime, if you have a meeting, event or conference coming up,  I'd be happy to put on my mild-mannered guise to discuss how we can help you produce the best show ever.

With best regards,
