Sunday October 27 - 9:00AM: Meditation instruction class with Zen sitting and walking meditation periods and a Dharma Talk with refreshments after. The Schedule: 9:00 am - 9:30 am - Orientation for Zen Meditation 9:30 am - 10:40 am - Two half hour sitting periods with a ten minute walking meditation in-between 10:45 am - 11:30 am - A Dharma Talk with José Ramírez, JDPSN followed by refreshments.

Also at 10:00AM we will have Dharma School. The Center offers classes for children ages 4-12 and their families on meditation, mindfulness and the Buddhist Tradition. The program is open to any child, age 4 to 12, interested in exploring the dharma.
 
Wednesday October 30 - 5:30PM: Public vegetarian dinner followed by meditation instruction class at 6:30PM. Also at 6:30PM special chanting begins in the main Dharma Room followed by regular chanting at 7:00PM. There will also be two sitting periods this evening with walking meditation in between and consulting interviews with Bodhisattva Teacher, Doug Walsh.

Sunday November 3 – 9:00AM: Kido Chanting retreat led by José Ramírez, JDPSN and Seon Joon Sunim. Kido chanting retreats consist primarily of chanting from 9:00am to 3:00pm with a break at noon for an informal lunch. We chant “Kwan Seum Bosal”, the Korean name for the bodhisattva of compassion, while sitting, standing and walking (similar to the special chanting that we do every evening at 6:30pm). Monday December 9 – 15 - Seven day long YMJJ Retreat led by Zen Master Soeng Hyang. The schedule each day consists of ten hours of Zen practice (bowing, chanting, sitting and walking), work and rest periods, and vegetarian meals eaten in traditional temple style. Includes talks and kong-an teaching interviews. Minimum participation is 72 hours, entry days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday only. To register for your retreat online – fill out the retreat registration form.

Volunteer Opportunities: Are you a seasoned vegetarian chef?  Do you want to be?  Come cook dinner for the PZC sangha on Wednesday nights - it's always loads of fun and a great opportunity to do some work practice.
