The Walkmen’s Walter Martin has announced a new solo album. It’s called My Kinda Music, and it’s out May 5. The first offering from the record is a collaboration with the National’s Matt Berninger, “Hey Matt.” On the track, Martin sings about getting rejected when he asked Randy Newman to collaborate. Berninger’s reaction: “That would’ve been awesome.” Listen to “Hey Matt” below; scroll down for the tracklist and artwork.

Other contributors on My Kinda Music include Laura Gibson, Phil Ek, and Gabe Wax. It’s the second installment in Martin’s Juvenile Series, following 2014’s We’re All Young Together. On that LP, Martin tapped Berninger for the song “We Like the Zoo (’Cause We’re Animals Too).”
