Back to the Future's Clock Tower Scene, Remade With Lego

Would you like to watch the climax of Back to the Future remade with Lego bricks? Of course you would!

From food to hand-knit scarves to recreations of your favorite movie scenes using Lego bricks, everything is better when it's made with love. And for the good folks at Macro Lego Universe, an enterprise dedicated to making Lego-based movies, it's all about the brick life. Their latest endeavor? Remaking the suspense-filled clock tower climax of Back to the Future with minifig Marty and minifig Doc trying to harness the power of lightning to get back to, well, the future! The short was shot at the Brick 2014 fan convention, and does a surprisingly effective job of reproducing the emotional impact of the original scene considering its "actors" have mostly stationary faces. But if The Lego Movie taught us anything, it's that we should never underestimate the capacity of tiny plastic yellow toys to induce human levels of empathy.

We'd love to say more, but it looks like we're outatime—hey-OOOOOO!
