It’s almost Fashion Week in New York City and that means the gliteratti is coming to town! Whether you live here or are just coming to visit, there are so many fabulous parties going on–and if you know where to go they’re not even hard to find. You can often find celebrities just hanging out in their hotel lobbies. So pull out your party clothes and get ready to strut your stuff on the streets of Manhattan.

The Standard Hotel

If you’re looking for a place to stay during the star-studded event, head to the Boom Boom Room at The Standard hotel if you’re hoping to rub shoulders with Victoria Secret Angels. This luxe hotel is a favorite during Fashion Week. The Boom Boom Room is a classic of course but the popular rooftop bar Le Bain has been named the “#1 place for Fashion Week nightlife” in the past. You may recently remember it from the infamous elevator fight between Jay-Z and Solange Knowles after the Met Gala. The Standard Grill and Biergarten are excellent places to grab a bite and a beer–they also have great people-watching. The rooms offer sweeping views of the New York skyline courtesy of their floor to ceiling windows–and if you’re down below be sure to look up! The rooms are also famous for couples who like to put on a show for people below–you’ve been warned.

Empire Hotel

The Empire Hotel is an Upper West Side gem just across the street from the tents at Lincoln Center. Supermodels and celebrities alike including Heidi Klum, Nicole Ritchie, Lauren Conrad and Bella Thorne have been spotted here. Enjoy an intimate setting at the rooftop bar with amazing views of Lincoln Center. Rooms are modern and fabulous, filled with iPod docking stations, mini-bars and rain showers. It’s also got a great location for exploring Manhattan classics like the Museum of Arts and Design, Times Square and the Theatre District.

The Mercer

If you’re hoping to hang with the designers then check out The Mercer hotel. You may bump into top designers like Marc Jacobs and Calvin Klein. Eat gourmet morsels and sip expertly poured cocktails at Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s iconic Mercer Kitchen. Enjoy Soho by wandering down streets and doing a little shopping–it is Fashion Week after all. Before you leave be sure to take a breather in the hotel’s gigantic library.

Gramercy Park Hotel

And for those who appreciate the classics make sure you book a room at Gramercy Park Hotel or come check out the Rose Bar. Shack up at this former favorite of Humphrey Bogart, President John. F Kennedy and the Rolling Stones. Hardcore fashionistas and art-enthusiasts will delight with the always-changing artwork that adorns the walls. And these pieces are nothing to sneer at–there’s artwork by some of New York City’s masters including Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. You might just see trendy celebs like Ed Westwick and Mary-Kate Olsen at the hotel’s exclusive Rose Bar for specialty cocktails and live music. Be sure to go for a stroll in Madison Square Park before you leave–and make sure you get a burger from Shake Shack there–after all, you’re not walking the runways.

Four Seasons New York

New York’s Four Seasons hotel is a classic celebrity hang out. You can find everyone from Jennifer Anniston (I swear I saw her one night and I was so excited!) to Shailene Woodley. They just recently redid Ty Bar. It’s now a rich, red lounge, perfect for a perfectly poured martini or a delectable snack. And its restaurant, The Garden is the perfect spot for a Hangover Brunch after you’ve been out late partying with all those supermodels! Ooh and plus it’s across the street from one of my favorite restaurants–Lavo!
