Kickstarter Spotlight - Projects You Should Pay Attention To 10/4

October 4th - via: igameresponsibly.com
So, you may have noticed we didn’t use crowdfunding in the title this week. Well smartass, that’s because all our projects were pulled directly from Kickstarter. Allllrighty then. It’s time for another week of crowdfunding goodies from the throbbing loins of Kickstarter. Fun fact; Kickstarter projects have raised over $815M to date. That being said, projects like the one’s we’re covering this week are asking for a drop in the bucket, so come on, pledge! We’ve got a tasty mix of new games on hand this week AND some updates on projects we’ve talked about in the past. (Read More)

The Ballads Of Reemus 2 Sings For Its Supper

September 26th - via: rockpapershotgun.com
I am concerned you won’t remember the very splendid The Ballads Of Reemus. A point and click adventure created by indie developer Zeebarf (Jay Ziebarth), it was a genuinely great and very funny game, bursting with detail and care. Reemus is an exterminator in a world where insects are a lot bigger than him, last time battling an infestation of killer bedbugs. Now Ziebarth is looking to make a bigger, better follow-up, retelling (and finally finishing) the slug-based tales of the original freebie flash-based chapters of 2007. He’s going to need some cold, hard, Canadian cash to do so. (Read More)

The Ballads of Reemus 2 now playing on Kickstarter

September 25th - via: adventuregamers.com
ClickShake Games’ founder and sole employee Jay Ziebarth, colloquially known by the moniker Zeebarf, clearly feels that sometimes the best way to move forward is to take a few steps back. And so it is that his upcoming second commercial entry in the Ballads of Reemus series, currently seeking funding through Kickstarter, is actually a revisiting of the original free-to-play Several Journeys of Reemus browser games. (Read More)

Crowdfunding Projects You Should Pay Attention To 9/20

September 20th - via: igameresponsibly.com
So, remember last week when I tentatively set this week’s article for Thursday? Well, it’s now Friday, and here we are. That’s why I didn’t make any promises, it keeps me from breaking them. A smart way to live one’s life. We had a fantastic time at NYGC13 and I wanted to thank the fine folks at DMW for throwing the event. Kickstarter was brought up several times throughout the many discussion panels we attended. Most notably, Howard Tsao of Muse Games spoke on a panel about the emerging platforms developers have available to them. I grilled with him afterwards about bringing Guns of Icarus Online to the PlayStation 4. Moving right along we have an absolutely stacked week ahead of us. We’ll be harkening back to two project creators we’ve worked with in the past as well as tapping our inner mutant for some pigskin action. (Read More)

Currently Kickstarting: The Ballads of Reemus 2

Why, you get the continuing saga of Reemus and Liam, that’s what. Enter The Ballads of Reemus 2, another game being Kickstarted that started its life as a Flash-based adventure on the likes of Newgrounds and Kongregate. (Read More)
