Sigourney Weaver will reprise her role as Ellen Ripley from the “Alien” franchise in Sega‘s upcoming videogame “Alien: Isolation.”
The actress lent her voice and likeness for downloadable bonus missions that will enable players to relive two classic scenes from the 1979 film, directed by Ridley Scott.
Characters played by actors Tom Skerritt (Dallas), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Yaphet Kotto (Parker) and Ian Holm (Ash) will also be featured in two downloadable bonus missions (see the cast in the game below), while consumers who pre-order the game at select retailers will also receive “Last Survivor,” in which players pick up the story as Ripley tries to escape the Nostromo on the Narcissus shuttle.
Those who pre-order “Alien: Isolation” before its release on Oct. 7, will receive the Nostromo Edition, which includes “Crew Expendable,” in which players choose one of three surviving crewmembers only moments after Brett’s death at the jaws of the creature.
And As Ellen Ripley, Dallas or Parker, players can explore the Nostromo from habitation deck down through engineering, coordinating their efforts with Lambert and Ash to lure the Alien into the ship’s airlock.

“Alien: Isolation” is set after the events of the original film.
“Working with the original cast has been an incredible experience,” said Alistair Hope, creative lead on “Alien: Isolation.” “It was important to us to have the key original cast members reprise their roles in order to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the movie. For some of the original cast, this is the their first appearance in an ‘Alien’ videogame. Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience.”
Twentieth Century Consumer Products brokered the deal and is overseeing the game with Sega. Game’s release is timed with an anniversary edition Blu-ray of “Alien” that includes the 1979 graphic novelization of the film.
