Hundreds of new homes in the Santa Clarita Valley are expected to be open and up for sale this summer.

Three areas — Grayson at Five Knolls, Brighton at Five Knolls and Highglen at Five Knolls — are expected to be open summer 2015 and located between Golden Valley and Plum Canyon roads, which will eventually connect.
The connection of Golden Valley and Plum Canyon roads is expected to be open by June and none of the housing units can be occupied until the road is completed, said Gail Morgan, spokeswoman for the city of Santa Clarita. 
In February, TRI Pointe Homes Southern California officials announced the acquisition of 119 lots in Grayson at Five Knolls, located in the master-planned community by Brookfield Residential, according to a news release.
“The recent acquisition at Five Knolls further develops TRI Pointe’s strong relationship with Brookfield Residential and provides a strategic opportunity to establish a new presence in a highly desirable location within the Santa Clarita Valley market,” said TRI Pointe Homes Southern California Division President Tom Grable, said in the news release. “With residential development limited and current home supply levels extremely low, this opportunity allows TRI Pointe to use its experience to deliver quality product within a master plan.”
Homes in the Grayson at Five Knolls section are expected to have a starting price in the low $500,000s and the target grand opening is July 2015, according to the news release.
The Brighton at Five Knolls homes are expected to start in the $600,000 range with two-story Home Designs including bonus rooms, guest suites, dens, offices and three-bay garages, optional outdoor rooms and covered decks, according to the website. The homes come in Santa Barbara, Italianate and American Farmhouse architectural styles.
The Highglen at Five Knolls homes are expected to start in the $700,000 range with gourmet kitchens, large bedrooms and bonus rooms, guest suites, dens, offices, three-bay garages, optional outdoor rooms and covered decks, according to the website. The homes come in Santa Barbara, Monterey and American Farmhouse architectural styles.
“With a premier location near major transportation and job corridors, we anticipate that the interest at Grayson at Five Knolls will be quite strong,” said Grable. “The idyllic hillside setting with great views and access to quality schools will make the new residences even more attractive to homebuyers.”
The community is nearby to open space trails and the master-planned community will include The Club at Five Knolls with a pool, patios, social gathering places and walking paths, according to the website. A new public park, Golden Valley Park, will include picnic areas, groves, overlooks, play areas, a basketball half-court and bark park.

Great, more people. Can’t wait for the morning traffic to get even worse next year. How about some more god damn roads with more than 2 lanes so people can get around.
Just can’t wait either. When will the city and county open their eyes and make 3 lames on bouquet and whites. The stupid lance Armstrongs in this city don’t need 15′ wide bike lanes. Please SCV open more lames and keep the speeds up at 50mph were not in Van Nuys. By the way Golden Valley was supposed to be open October of 2013. BS the city will make them open it first. Such a sad joke even when the road goes through there’s still only one lane to get on and off the freeway.
