Whooo Boy!  It's summer here!  The westcoast is suffering through an early heatwave.  I hear it's coming from the 4 corners in the US.  I've been there and it was no where near this hot!!  And yes, there is a photo of me with one appendage in each of the 4 states.... Really, how you could NOT take that photo if you go all the way there?!

Happy Canada Day on July 1 and Happy Independence Day on July 4th!  That sounds like an good excuse for a sale!

Scroll down to the What's on Sale block or see the Special Offers list here.  You won't see the sale prices till the item is in you shopping cart.

By now I guess you've noticed we have new stamps! (They are all mounted with foam and cling.)

Have you been following the Quietfire Creations blog to see the awesome artwork the Design Team is creating?

Artwork by Sherry

Make sure you have a scroll through the pages!  The Quietfire Design Team is amazing!

Tosha created another gorgeous shabby and elegant project for us, which you can read all about here on Quietfire Creations!   I'd like to send her a big thanks for the inspiration she's given us this month. I love her creations!

You can see all the other wonderful things she creates on her blog,
Stamp Talk with Tosh.

{Make sure you head over to her blog - she's continuing to use Quietfire stamps there!  The results are simply awesome!}

The Hug Book

Cover decoration by Teresa Horner

What is a Hug Book?
It's a book you receive from someone that seems to give you a little hug every time you open it!
I saw these blank books at CHA and was immediately drawn to the potential in them! The great thing is you can create a beautiful little book in minutes and there are no bookbinding skills required!

You can find our blank Hug Books on the website here. They are available in two colours.

Read more about using Hug Books here.

Learn more about this beautiful Hug Book cover that Teresa made to share with us here
Here are some of the Hug Book pages we've created so far.  Just click on the image to see more details.

The Canadian dollar exchange has changed dramatically in the last few months.  You will find that (depending on your credit card/PayPal rate of the day) you will save
an additional 15-20%
off the listed prices just because of the exchange rate!
Bonus!
(not so good for us Canadian shoppers buying in or visiting the US!)

Join Me if you're in the Denman Island area in October!

I'll be teaching the Criss-Cross Coptic Binding Hardcover Journal workshop.
The annual Creative Threads Conspiracy weekend is on and I've been invited to teach.  There is lots more than fibre arts happening (bookbinding being a case in point... I suppose it is specialized stitching!).  Here is a link to my workshop description, but scroll around.  I'm loving the little felted critters...!

Here is a map showing where Denman Island is located.  It has a reputation as an arts community.  It's a piddly short ferry ride from near me on Vancouver Island.  (north of Seattle!)  Gorgeous!
