Armed robbery, Torquay

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a convenience store at Torquay today.

At approximately 3.30pm a 55-year-old female employee of a Cypress Street store attended the front counter when a woman demanded money while wielding a knife.

The employee complied with the demand and the woman left the business with a sum of cash, and entered a small green car. The car left in an unknown direction.

The woman is described as approximately 160cm tall, of a slim build, approximately 18-years-old, wearing a grey hooded jumper with black writing on the front, black skivvy pulled over her face and dark coloured trousers.
