about
I am an acoustic singer-songwriter, musician and music producer, fitting well with artists such as Damien Rice, Ben Howard and David Gray. My musical career began way back in 1998 when I performed regular shows at Ronnie Scotts in Birmingham. I supported acts such Tom Robinson, Pooka, and Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets) and was a frequent visitor to the Birmingham songwriters festival alongside acts such as David Gray and Coldplay.
It was not until 2007 after winning Best unplugged act on the Midlands based commercial FM station, BRMB, that things started to change for me as a performer. I was fortunate to support Leona Lewis, McFly and Scouting for Girls, at BRMB’s christmas show and also perform a solo acoustic set on BBC’s Children In Need 2007 on the same bill as acts including David Gray, Annie Lennox and Kylie Minogue. During this time I also released my debut studio album 'Taking The Time To Heal' which received great reviews and gained air play on BRMB Dan Morrisseys show and Radio WM Breakfast, where I performed live on the Phil Upton show.
In 2008 I set myself up as a Pro tools engineer and music producer/songwriter, working in areas of educational music, and writing pop/contempory/rock songs. At the moment I am also working as a songwriter and producer for Second City Music .
We are now in 2014 and its been a good year so far. I have had my song ‘Thank you’ aired on Best of BBC introducing and I have released a single with X factor contestant Scott James. I am now finally releasing my EP ‘Penumbra’ and this will only be available via band camp website.
Hope you enjoy the new music! and please spread the word!
Thanks for all your support,
Aaron.
