And now Benedict Cumberbatch is setting hearts racing again, revealing a hint of toned torso as he recreates Mr Darcy's iconic scene from BBC's Pride and Prejudice, all in the name of charity.
The Sherlock Holmes star's slightly racier take on the classic is being displayed as part of an exclusive exhibition marking the 10th anniversary of the Give Up Clothes For Good campaign.

World renowned photographer Jason Bell has collated a selection of some of the famous faces he's shot since the campaign - which raises cash for Cancer Research UK - was launched in 2004.
Featuring the likes of Jerry Hall, Liam Neeson, Mel C and Charlie Hunnam, the archive snaps went on display on Tuesday at La Galleria Pall Mall in London, where they will remain until September 20.
Speaking about fronting the campaign last February, Jerry said: 'I am absolutely honoured to be part of Give Up Clothes for Good.

'More children than ever are now surviving cancer thanks to the work of Cancer Research UK but it is still the leading cause of death in children.

Since it's inception, the initiative has raised over £17.7 million to help beat kids’ cancer sooner.

Members of the public can join in all year round by donating their unwanted clothing and accessories at any TK Maxx store.
These will then be sold at Cancer Research UK stores across the country, helping to raise even more life-saving funds for children's cancer research.
