Leigh Halfpenny is no stranger to putting his body on the line for the sake of his team, but he is now sacrificing teeth for Toulon's cause having lost one in their Champions Cup win over Clermont.

Halfpenny's fake tooth was knocked out in Toulon's win over Leinster in the semi-finals and he lost another helping Toulon to their third-straight European Cup triumph on Saturday ... much to the amusement of team-mate Matt Giteau.

Talking after Toulon's 24-18 triumph over Clermont, Halfpenny said: "It is up there as one of the highlights of my career. I just feel privileged to be part of a special group of players that have achieved so much in the game and privileged to have been part of creating history.

"I don't think it will sink in for a long time until I get a chance to reflect on it. This was a goal we set as a group of players, as a squad, to retain our title and create history, to win the European Cup three times in a row and we have done that. It's an immense feeling."
