Fatal traffic crash, Logan

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal single vehicle traffic crash on Wembley Road, Logan this morning.

Early information suggests at around 3.30am a man in his 50’s was heading eastbound on Wembley Road, between Bardon Road and the Logan Motorway.

For reasons still under investigation, his vehicle crossed the westbound lanes, left the roadway and collided with a light pole before coming to rest in bushland.

The man died at the scene a short time later.

Police investigations continue.
