DUI Checkpoints Planned Across Los Angeles This Weekend: July 13-16
The Los Angeles Police Department has DUI checkpoints scheduled throughout the city this weekend.
LOS ANGELES, CA — It's a busy week for DUI checkpoints in Los Angeles and around the county.
The Los Angeles Police Department has DUI checkpoints scheduled all over the city Friday night, and police in Pasadena will be on the look out for drunken rivers too.
"The deterrent effect of High Visibility Enforcement using both DUI checkpoints and DUI Saturation Patrols has proven to lower the number of persons killed and injured in alcohol or drug impaired traffic collisions," according to the Los Angeles Police Department. "Research shows that collisions involving an impaired driver can be reduced by up to 20 percent when well-publicized proactive DUI operations are conducted routinely."
