NY is a Great Place to Bee! with Elizabeth Klosky
Saturday, June 25 from 12 to 2 pm, Free for all ages.

Come out to Stony Kill Farm to help make NY a Great Place to Bee! Enjoy some fun hands-on learning activities with the Way to Bee! Worker Bees, learn about four easy ways that anyone can help the bees, and choose your own Way to Bee! (or all four) as you pledge to be a bee helper! Learn how honey bees communicate through Scent ID and the Language of Dance, learn about making honey, and make native wildflower seed bonbons that will grow into good food for all the bees! Check out the exhibit to learn about making native bee houses and hibernacula, find out why bees are so important, find out the threats they are facing, and find out how petitions can make a difference.

NY is a Great Place to Bee! started as a project for a Girl Scout Gold Award. The project's three part mission to Educate, Legislate, and Populate, continues on as more communities get involved in learning about bees and how to help them, take a stand to get bee-friendly laws passed, and help fill the state with healthy bees, informed bee helpers, and safe and nutritious bee forage like native wildflowers!

Elizabeth will be preparing materials for our attendees. Please let us know if you will be joining our special BEE event!
