PETALING JAYA: The public is engaging in a debate as a result of the open letter by 25 eminent Malays for a rational dialogue on the application of Islamic laws in the country.
Two other groups of prominent Malaysians have issued open letters supporting the call for dialogue but expressing opposing views on how to find a balance between Islamic and civil laws.
