NEW HOME FEELS REAL GOOD FOR GATHERING OF NATIONS:
The test run for the Gathering of Nations Pow Wow in the new location at the Grounds at Expo New Mexico was an overwhelming success. From those who attended and watched on line the reviews and comments were similar as everyone enjoyed it. There have been a few changes and adjustments made to make the entire event even more enjoyable to all who attend.
The 2018 Gathering of Nations Pow Wow will once again feature the best Native singers and dancers in North America. All singers, dancers, and others are invited to experience all that is new for the Gathering of Nations. As usual the Gathering will feature the Indian Traders Market, which is a shoppers dream. Stage 49, the contemporary Music space along with the roving native performers offer an alternative to the powwow music inside the Tingley Coliseum.
It is inside Tingley where the primary focus of the Gathering of Nations takes place with the best singing and Dancing in the World. Returning for the 2018 Gathering will be the Tee-Pee Village, which offers a more quiet area.
New for 2018 will be the Native Horse and rider Regalia Parade. The review area for the parade will be on Main Street on the pow wow grounds and will take place on both Friday and Saturday afternoons.
Make you plans now to attend North Americas biggest Pow wow. Hotels fill up fast! This past April over 65 hotels in the Albuquerque area were sold out GON week. Consider camping on the Gathering of Nations pow wow grounds.
