ViVa! Vienna! Memorial Day Festival Continues Monday

Annual event attracts 50,000 guests and more than 300 vendors -- you still have Sunday and Monday to enjoy it.

VIENNA, VA -- The Town of Vienna Rotary Club's annual Memorial Day weekend festival, ViVa! Vienna! is here this weekend with promises of loads of fun with a variety of food, rides and entertainment for the community.

One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the event go to charitable, community and humanitarian organizations.

The three-day event takes place Saturday, May 28, Sunday, May 29 and Monday, May 30. The hours each day are:

  • Saturday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (food, rides, entertainment)
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (food, rides, entertainment) 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (vendors)
  • Monday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (food, rides, entertainment, vendors)

Streets closed Sunday and Monday

The event takes place in the heart of town, at Vienna’s historic Freeman House, Old Vienna Railroad Station, the Caboose, W & OD Trail, and Church Streets at Dominion and Mill all provide the primary setting for the ViVa! On Sunday and Monday, Church Street will be closed to traffic from Lawyers Road to Mill Street to allow booths for artisans, retail vendors, political parties and candidates, professional groups, and community organizations. Streets will reopen Monday at 9 p.m.

Rides

All rides are provided by Cole Amusement Company.

ViVa! Vienna! features 24 rides ranging from Kiddie (e.g. Carousel, Willie the Whale, Jolly Choo Choo) to Major (e.g. Cliff Hanger, Funnel Force, Expo Wheel), serving ages 2 through adult.

Ride Tickets: Kiddie rides require 3 tickets per ride; major rides require 3-5 tickets depending on the ride.

One ticket is $1. A sheet of 24 tickets is $20 (saves $4), and a sheet of 48 tickets is $40 (saves $8). A wristband that covers all rides is $35 and is valid for one person for one day.

Vendors taking part Sunday and Monday this year will include handcraft artisans, retail vendors, professionals, political parties and candidates, and community and non-profit organizations.

Food Vendors

Be sure to come hungry, local vendors will offer a great variety of foods Saturday, Sunday and Monday, including the following:

  • Pizza
  • Barbecue
  • Hot dogs and hamburgers
  • Italian sausage
  • Thai, Lebanese, and Chilean meals
  • Popcorn, kettle corn, and funnel cakes
  • Shaved ice treats and cotton candy
  • Candied apples
  • Soft and homemade ice cream

Vendors taking part Sunday and Monday this year will include handcraft artisans, retail vendors, professionals, political parties and candidates, and community and non-profit organizations. Some of the vendors at the festival this year will include:

  • Handcrafters Association
  • Church Street merchants open for business
  • Freeman House selling memorabilia
  • Northern VA Model Railroaders with displays for visitors
  • Retail merchandisers and local business promotions
  • Vacation opportunities
  • New car displays
  • Political parties and candidates, and fraternal and social organizations
