The Halfmoon Bay Fire Department’s 10k Run Until It Burns drew 59 participants Oct. 1, an increase of about 12 from last year.
Top finisher was Nigel Young of Langley (41:35), followed by Dylan Chow of Sechelt (45:41) and Teresa Nightingale of Halfmoon Bay (46:39).
Net proceeds from the run go to travel funds for the running teams at Chatelech and Elphinstone secondary schools, while donations go to the Halfmoon Bay Fire Department.
