Fatal traffic crash, Nerang

A 62-year-old man has died in a traffic crash at Nerang this morning.

Around 7am, a car and a bus collided at the intersection of Beaudesert-Nerang Road and McLaren Road.

A 62-year-old Nerang man, driver and sole occupant of the car, was taken to the Gold Coast Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

The driver of the bus, a 37-year-old man, was not seriously injured. There was no one else on the bus at the time of the incident.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
