This article is more than 9 years old

Nominations are in for the UK’s most inspiring museum or heritage visitor attraction of the past year – who should win?

The Guardian Culture Professionals Network has teamed up once again with the annual Museums + Heritage Awards to launch a search for the UK’s most inspiring museum or heritage visitor attraction of the past 12 months.

We’ve sorted through more than 400 suggestions for this year’s award. The following five received the most nominations to go through to the public vote:

Yorkshire Sculpture Park, West Bretton
The People’s History Museum, Manchester
Kelmscott Manor, Gloucestershire
King Richard III Visitor Centre, Leicester
The Haslemere Educational Museum, Surrey

Previous winners of the award include the Grant Museum of Zoology and the Powell-Cotton Museum, Quex House and Gardens in Kent.

Who should win this year? Use the voting tool below to choose the UK institution you think is a shining example within the sector for its approach to audience engagement in 2014-15. The winning venue or attraction will be announced at the Museums + Heritage Awards for Excellence on Weds 29 April 2015.

Voting is now closed.
