July is a special month for all Americans - we celebrate Fourth of July, a commemoration of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. On July 4, 2016 millions of Americans will join together in celebrating the 240th anniversary of our independence.
The Friends have planned our own observance at the Book Store in honor of two anniversaries: the country's 240th and the Friends' 40th -- a Specialty Sale of US History and Military books from July 7 through July 30. Our entire inventory of US History and Military books will be on sale for 40 cents per item.
The Book Store is open from 10 am to 4pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It's located behind the Boardman Road Branch Library,141 Boardman Road, on the south side of the building -- Look for the door with the Blue Awning! Cash, checks (with valid ID), MC, Visa and Discover accepted.
The Book Store accepts donations of quality used books Monday through Friday from 10 am to 12 pm on days that the Library is open. For more information about donations, please check our websiteor call the store at 485-3445 x 3423.
