CALDWELL, N.J. - Caldwell University junior
Brielle Reighn (Runnemeade, NJ/Triton Reg.) was chosen the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for softball, the league announced today. Reighn batted .700 with three runs, three doubles, a triple and seven runs batted in over three victories last week.
In a 10-2 win at Pace University on Wednesday, Reighn had two doubles and four RBIs. On Sunday she went 5-for-7 at the plate with three runs, three RBIs, a double and a triple. Over the three games, Reighn posted a .750 on-base percentage while slugging 1.200.
Reighn, who is batting .341 with a team-best 11 RBIs so far this season, made the Daktronics All-America second team as a sophomore. Just 14 games into her junior season, she has 167 hits and 102 RBIs while batting .426 for her career.
Caldwell (6-8) hosts Nyack College on Tuesday, Mar. 31 in the first CACC doubleheader of the season for the Cougars. The first game starts at 2:30 p.m. at Caldwell Field.
