Once upon a time in and around Miami/ Dade County waters, there used to be many pods of wild dolphins playing in the bay.  It is a well-known fact that is why the Miami Dolphins are called that, because of the many dolphins seen in the Biscayne Bay and not as the captives at the Miami Seaquarium or in SeaWorld.

The Miami dolphins just unveiled a new membership program to their season ticket holders, and the club is offering year-round events and perks for those who purchase a 10-game package, according to The Sun-Sentinel.

Here are some of the perks that are being offered:

- Discounts at restaurants and local businesses

- Free on-field movie night

- Food truck and photo booth party at Sun Life Stadium

- Kickoff yacht party

- And Dolphins Day at Sea World in Orlando for suite/club level package buyers (the amusement park is about four hours away from Miami).

- The opportunity to stage a fantasy football draft in a stadium suite with food and beer provided, plus Dolphins alumni available to give advice on your draft picks.

Dolphins in these captivity centers are suffering.

Why would the Miami Dolphins partner up with Seaworld is beyond comprehension.  SeaWorld's keeps dolphins in captivity and unlike what their new PR is saying; "SeaWorld, Where the dolphins play" is yet another bold face lie. The dolphins being kept in SeaWorld are kept as prisoners to perform for the paying masses. SeaWorld's view of "playing" is a bit distorted. Dolphins living in artificial pools in semi-chlorinated water, being fed dead frozen fish full of antidepresants and antacids. In the middle of Florida is not the same as being in the ocean.

Please stop offering Dolphins Day to your Suite/Club level package buyers. Offer your club members a day in Key West its closer to Miami and more educational than a trip to SeaWorld.
