Sunday is gonna be a problem for a lot of households in H-Town. When the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys take the field Sunday at noon families will be split for the next three hours. While the Texans are the hometown team, the Cowboys do have a strong foothold in Houston.

Why are there so many Cowboy fans in Houston? When the Oilers left for Tennessee to became the Titans, Houston was left without a team from 1997-2002 causing numerous fans to jump ship to Dallas. Some of those folks stayed Cowboy fans even after the Texans started playing (blame David Carr & Matt Schaub). You have thousands of Dallas transplants (like myself) who have grown up Cowboys fans and are now living in H-Town and are now married to native Houstonians.

This all adds up to a perfect storm of division in many homes. Glad it’s not mine cause I’m telling you now I’d be ticked off if anybody in my house was rooting for the Texans Sunday. What about your home?
