THE GAMES
Tarleton Baseball wraps up their seven-game road trip in Lawton, Oklahoma with a three-game series against Cameron. The Texans will play Game 1 on Saturday at 3 p.m. and follow with a Sunday doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.

THE OPPONENT
Cameron is 15-23 on the season and last in the Lone Star Conference with an 8-18 record. The Aggies, who are 8-9 at home, have dropped four straight games heading into the series with Tarleton. Offensively, the Aggies' .255 batting average ranks last in the Lone Star Conference but Jonathan Reyes carries Cameron with his .316 average in 36 games. Reyes' 42 hits rank seventh in the LSC. Cameron's 4.21 team ERA, ranked third in the LSC, has paced the Aggies this season. Dirk Masters' 3.08 ERA (4-5 record) tops all starters and is seventh in the conference. Deven Youngstedt boasts a 1.71 ERA out of the bullpen in 26 1/3 innings.

THE SERIES
The Texans have controlled the all-time series against Cameron, winning 41 of 53. The two schools first squared off in 1995 with TSU winning the first 13 games in the series. Tarleton split the four-game series with Cameron played at Cecil Ballow Field on March 13-15, including a walk-off home run in Game 1.

THE QUEST FOR 200
Head coach Bryan Conger enters this weekend's series with 199 career victories as the head coach of the Texans. He is one win away from reaching the 200 mark that only Tarleton Hall of Fame coach, Jack Allen, has eclipsed since Tarleton reinstated baseball in 1988. Conger has the second-most wins in Tarleton's new-era history behind Allen (565) and ahead of his immediate predecessor, Trey Felan (145).

CHASING .400
Texan catcher Jonathan Schmitz is hitting .392 on the season to lead all hitters in the Lone Star Conference. Schmitz' .496 on-base percentage is also tops in the LSC and is .059 points ahead of second place.

SACRIFICING FOR THE TEAM
When runners get on, Evan Robinson isn't afraid to give himself up to advance the runners. Robinson's seven sacrifice bunts ranks second in the LSC and his six sacrifice flies top the LSC.

LIGHTS-OUT BULLPEN
The Texan bullpen features three players with an ERA under 3. Eythan Lenz is 2-0 with a 2.93 ERA in 15 1/3 innings. In 13 1/3 innings, John Kresta has a 2.03 ERA with 12 strikeouts and only one walk. Hunter Houston has only allowed two earned runs in 21 2/3 innings for a 0.83 ERA in 13 appearances while striking out 25.

ACE OF APRIL
In two April starts, pitcher Trevor Renfro is 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA in 15 innings. Renfro struck out eight in both starts and has only walked one.

UP NEXT
The Texans return home for a non-conference game against St. Mary's on April 21 before a three-game series versus West Texas A&M in the final Lone Star Conference home series of the regular season on April 24.
