I had first spent time with Danielle and William, whose wedding was to be at the Squantum Association,  about a year and a half ago. I was photographing Danielle’s cousin’s NYE wedding and didn’t realize that I would soon be photographing theirs! I was at a bridal show at Quidnessett Country Club, when Danielle’s mom came over, started flipping through one of my albums, and said “You photographed my nephew’s wedding!”. She pointed him out in the album, and we started to chat. She told me she was going to chat with Danielle, and soon I was meeting up with her, and we were on our way to planning for their wedding! You may remember their Engagement Session, HERE.

Danielle mentioned her love for literature, and romance, so I showed her my recent photoshoot with the team at Rustic Roots Design, and she knew she also had to have them! I was excited, because I knew that with Danielle and their vision, it was going to be amazing. I mean, Danielle literally jumped for joy when she saw what they had created!

The wedding day started out with us crossing our fingers the rain would not come through. We had a little drizzle before heading to the ceremony location at Bay View Academy. The lovely ceremony was highlighted by the bride’s cousin, who presided over the ceremony. What a treat! And speaking of family, how sweet was it that Danielle’s brother was HER Best Man?!

After the ceremony, we headed back to the venue for formals and cocktail hour. The grounds of Squantum are beautiful, and include a rocky path that leads out into the water, connecting the mainland to a little island offshore. It was the perfect location for their bridal portraits, as it had a beautiful view of the water, and the venue, and allowed them some time alone. Afterwards, it was time for a tradition at Squantum, the firing of the cannon! Guests literally had a blast, as William lit the fuse, and the blast signaled the start of the reception.

The reception was lovely, highlighted by some emotional speeches, especially the one from Danielle’s brother. I admit, I shed a few tears from behind my camera.

But the grande finale, to open the dance floor, was an amazing dance routine by the ladies of Chifferobe! It was a huge surprise to all the guests, and the perfect way to get the party started!

Thank you, and congratulations, Danielle and William! It has been a pleasure so far, and can’t wait until your next moments to photograph!

Enjoy some favorites from their day, and their slideshow at the end.
