To all who want to support Giving Is Value (GIV) and one of the beneficiaries--Denver Kids Inc,
We will get straight to the point: Today we ask you to help GIV. To help achieve our goals of being the amplification channel for social responsibility. We depend on donations averaging about $15. Only a tiny portion of our populations gives.
If everyone reading this donated $3, we could make a great impact on social responsibility for years to come. The price of a coffee is all we need. It's a little awkward to be asking this as I know you are busy, hopefully spending time with family or friends. But there's never an easy time to remind people that giving not only supports social responsibility but it helps keep us alive and thriving. Most people ignore my messages. But I hope you’ll think about how useful it is to support GIV and great non profits like Denver kids Inc.
Since 1946, Denver Kids, Inc. has worked in partnership with the Rotary Club of Denver and Denver Public Schools (DPS) to support kindergarten through 12th-grade students in higher-risk environments to help them graduate from high school, pursue post-secondary education and contribute to their communities.
Students in the Denver Kids program face numerous challenges, from poverty to unstable home situations and behavioral issues. Many are living in non-traditional households. Most are tracking a grade level behind.
• 97% of the student we serve qualify for free/reduced lunch
• 64% reside in a non-traditional household (single guardian, other
relatives, foster care, no guardian)
To do our part Giving Is Value (GIV) is hosting a FriendsGIVing event on November 22nd from 6 to 10pm. Every ticket sold means people in need will have a meal for the holidays. Our goal is to provide 500 people with meals. If you're able to attend, your reward for giving is an epic party! Open bar, awesome people and a memorable night!
