Burglary arrests, Sunshine Coast, Gympie and Caboolture

Police have arrested one man and dealt with five juveniles following investigations into a string of alleged offences throughout Sunshine Coast, Gympie and Caboolture for around the last week.

At about 1.30am this morning, in the Maroochy River area, Sunshine Coast police located a 21-year-old Marcoola man, two boys aged 16 and 14 from Caboolture and two 16-year-old girls.

Police allege the group were tracked from an abandoned stolen vehicle and located by Dog Squad officers.

The alleged offences include burglaries where property was damaged, personal items and vehicles were stolen.

A 21-year-old was charged with two counts of burglary and one count of enter premises and commit, he is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on July 17.

The 16-year-old and 14-year-old boys were each charged with ten counts of burglary, five counts of enter premises, four counts of receiving stolen property and seven counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.  He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

The 16-year-old girls were each charged with six counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two enter premises and commit and two counts of attempt to enter premises.  They were dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
