Men’s Soccer falls 2-0 to Colorado College

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Colorado College Saturday in Colorado Springs. The loss drops the Cru to 0-2 while the Tigers even their season at 1-1.
 
Max Grossenbacher gave Colorado College an early lead with a goal at the 4:58 mark before Andrew Worthington gave the Tigers some security in the 29th minute, finding the back of the net off a header on a cornerkick by Tim Huettel. Neither team was able to generate a scoring offense in the second half, handing UMHB the 2-0 loss. Colorado College outshot the Cru 20-5 in the match, with five Crusaders recording shots in the contest. Javier Zaragoza and Blake Lander split time in the net for the Cru. Zaragoza faced 13 shots with four saves, allowing two goals while Lander faced eight shots with four saves.
 
UMHB returns to action next weekend with a pair of home matches. The Cru opens the weekend on Friday, September 5th in a 7 p.m. match against Austin College.
